Thanks, but actually Diego I believe the sickness weakened me from where I would have been at...however I believe it will allow me to increase a lot in the next few weeks.

Well...I dunno man, it may be a waste to max on bench, I want to see how I'm progressing on flat dumbbells, only reason I am maxing on deads is because I got a competition against a friend, I am going for 500!!

Thanks brah, wasn't 10 per side though, 5 per side...second set was HARRRRD at the last one, barely got it. A month ago I couldn't hang upside down like that without shooting myself up with momentum, I can 'muscle' up there now. Also I'm going the full 90 degrees on these now. Neuromuscular gains man!


It's a lot of fun to do though, I love that workout, hanging upside down and then coming back down, feel like a ninja!

your deadlift is ridiculous. do you think that your body structure is predisposed to heavy dls or are your lower back and legs just completely jacked?

my dl isn't very high, but it's definitely my best lift, even after considering that DL or squat should be way higher than bench. the trainer i talk to at my gym said that i'm built best for DLs, and i've always known that i have a long torso, although not freakishly so (no Lamar Gant!).

I suppose part of it is due to my structure, my lower back and legs aren't jacked at all, my traps are. But a big part of it is also due to the fact that I can pull when I feel my strength go up. Really hard to explain but I mentally charge my body and give it short bursts of strength. So a lot of my strength is neuromuscular rather than beng from mass. For me I do kind of a quick image montage in my head synchronized with the Trivium I'm blasting in my ears. Ever watch a video and get goosebumps? Or just from the song...videos usually do more for me. Well at that moment I increase my strength mentally. It's a lot stronger when you've got plenty of energy from food. Well anyway, I could cut to 170lbs (@ 6'1") and just get carbs in my body and get 100% of my strength right back because it is more mental. For squat I get really aggressive and de-rack it but I am powered down a little by the time I'm at the bottom portion. For bench it's kind of the same deal I can't drive my energy during the motion, only before. Deadlift it is just sitting there and I can pull when I'm ready...see what I mean? I probably confused the hell out of you. Become very aggressive when you hit the weights and use your mind and you'll hit heavier weights...I thought I was pushing to my max mentally over a year ago, but I really wasn't, that's why I didn't make a PR every week that I was bulking.

btw I tried to use my neuromuscular strength today, it just wasn't there today...I was lacking the energy. First set of 3 with 405 was easy, 2nd set just wore me out mentally.
