This thread is for anything about these grippers!
Currently I'm doing the CoC #2 for 2 reps. (chalked) My routine is going to look similar to westside barbell's Max Effort day, 8 sets, 4 sets of triples, 4 sets of singles with the heavier gripper (#2 in my case)

Well see, I have chalk at my gym, and it made the CoC really comfortable in my hand (no homo) . It's only like 2 dollars a block, which lasts pretty long, I don't know of any stores that are special but, if you find it for 2 bucks you've got a good deal. Yes it is worth it, use it for deads as well.

I agree about the chalk guys but exil3 I gotta ask a dumb ass question what the hell is a CoC I use the gripper with 3 45lb plates on for 3 sets of 15 to 20 reps. definately use chalk on the dead lift though it really helps alot.

I saw your last post, yea I didn't think any of those, except for no set...but what does that mean?
Anyway when you say parallel set do you mean from open to parallel or parallel to close? I've done To parallel with the CoC #2 and Parallel to close partials with the CoC #1, I think if we had a contest we should do it from Parallel to close, but it'd be ok to go out further just not too much further.

![]() I was thinking NS is no set, but don't know MMS or CCS, and they're all probably related, so I'm guessing NS isn't no set. |

CCS-Credit card set...what is required for a Ironmind certification
MMS-Mash monster set...Grip board certification. You close he gripper from past parallel. NOT accepted by Ironmind or FBBC (I think...) NS-no set...grab the gripper, close the gripper. Only use one hand. TNS-Put the gripper on a table...grab it with the hand you want to close, and close it. Never touch the gripper with more than one hand at a time There are more terms, but w/e And many types of gripper COCs (Captains of Crush) RBs (Robert Baraban) BBs (Beef Builders, made by Warren Tetting) Ivanko Super Gripper Hgs (Heavy Grips) Other random Brands Coc's are the 'gold standard' because the poundages tend not to vary as much HGs are okay if you are on a budget, but the poundages very a hell of a lot. So you could think you are closing a HG200 every time, but then you might find someone elses and not be able to close it, maybe because yours is easy or theirs is hard RBs-are beautiful, arguably better than COCs. they can be found here, and on his website, which I forget www.fatbastardbarbellco.com beef builders are also good. I forget the website right now I think it might be weightlifterswarehouse

TNS is the hardest
Then nS (where you can use your other hand to situate the gripper) then CCS then parallel set then MMS after that you are just doing partials If we have a competition, IMO it should be NS. or CCS.
