Everyone is going to have their own opinion about suicide. Getting mad at people for expressing their opinion isn't going to solve anything and it definitely wont convene them otherwise.

Yes.

I'm not saying that I don't care. I understand where he was coming from as I've been there many many many times. I probably understand more than most people, but also know that it's possible to pull through it. All I can think about when I think of his situation is how lucky he is, to have that be his only problem. He was in college. Do you know what I would give to have been in his situation? I not only have chronic depression but my memory is so bad that I can't come anywhere near succeeding in college. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever "grow up" and be able to move out of my parents house. I would kill to have what he had! And to waste it is a slap in the face of everyone who deals with worse things on a daily basis, because we'd give anything to be in his situation.

What he did was weak. The only time I've decided I would commit suicide was if I never came out of paralysis. There is far worse things than just depression and I wish I could have spoken to him before he did this because I would have talked some sense into him, showed him that there are people going through worse things than what he is going through and it is possible to make a change.
