Yes.
I'm not saying that I don't care. I understand where he was coming from as I've been there many many many times. I probably understand more than most people, but also know that it's possible to pull through it. All I can think about when I think of his situation is how lucky he is, to have that be his only problem. He was in college. Do you know what I would give to have been in his situation? I not only have chronic depression but my memory is so bad that I can't come anywhere near succeeding in college. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever "grow up" and be able to move out of my parents house. I would kill to have what he had! And to waste it is a slap in the face of everyone who deals with worse things on a daily basis, because we'd give anything to be in his situation.
What he did was weak. The only time I've decided I would commit suicide was if I never came out of paralysis. There is far worse things than just depression and I wish I could have spoken to him before he did this because I would have talked some sense into him, showed him that there
are people going through worse things than what he is going through and it is possible to make a change.
